Curious what the best windows wireless keyboard is? I need one with built-in rechargeable battery and at least ten-twelve foot range.
Does it have to be Bluetooth, or will a wireless keyboard with a USB receiver work? Also, what do you need it for? There are ones with bells, ones with whistles, and some that are simply generic.
Here's the deal. I had to move into mom's place and there's no room for my desk and computer in my room, so it's gotta stay just outside my door in this little loft area, which is right by the stairs. I can hear her tv and music and she can hear mine. I want to use a bluetooth keyboard with my bluetooth speaker in my room so I can close the door and block out her noise.
Oh, I can't really use headphones because they don't fit over the hearing aids too well.
These are good. It doesn't need to be Bluetooth, but they have them as well. One with a receiver will work even if you close the door.
Once you find your model, you can get a better price say at Amazon, or eBay.

Believe it or not, I actually strongly suggest you get keyboards with replaceable batteries if possible. They tend to last you longer, from what I've observed. With keyboards that have rechargeable batteries, once the battery gets something wrong with it, you're pretty much screwed and it would be best to buy an entirely new keyboard. You also don't have to worry about waiting however long it's going to take to recharge it. Once the batteries die, just put in new batteries, and bam. You're good to go.
As long as I could still use it plugged in that's fine.
That's the problem though. I've not scene a wireless keyboard you can plug in.
So, I totally agree with the poster. Battery powered is best if you must only use wireless.
And I need one with a windows layout. Just bought a logitech k380 and I had to take it back because I had no clue how to make jaws work with it. No alt f4 for closing programs for example.
No. Actually it works.
What you have to do is reset the function keys to fuction keys, not command keys.
It is really easy. It is in the instruction manual.
If you can't get help, simply email tech support and they'll tell you.
All of that brand will work for Windows unless specificly stated it is for a Mac.
Logitek is the best for wireless keyboards. They are all blue tooth, but they use a blue tooth receiver that plugs into a USB port. Battery is best, the one I just bought says that two AAA batteries will last for 3 years. Just make sure it is a 101 key keyboard. The descriptions are often not clear, so I had a sighted person look at the pictures to make sure the layout was what I wanted. They are inexpensive. $20.
